WNC Deploys PacketPro(TM) Processors in Multiple Designs
SUNNYVALE, CA—(Marketwired)—07/25/13—Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (NASDAQ: AMCC), also known as AppliedMicro, today announced that its embedded Server on a Chip™ (SoC) products have gained significant traction in the Consumer Premise Equipment (CPE) and enterprise markets, and has shipped over two million embedded processors to Wistron NeWeb Corporation (WNC). WNC provides premium ODM services of advanced wireless communications products to high-profile service providers. The company has leveraged multiple AppliedMicro embedded processor families in a variety of designs, including enterprise and consumer access points, Multimedia Over Coax Alliance (MoCA) gateways, and Long Term Evolution (LTE) gateway boxes. Current WNC designs use the AppliedMicro Keelback and Catalina PacketPro™ processors.
