Theobroma Systems provides compilers, virtual machines and binary translation solutions for embedded systems. The Java products include a high-performance just-in-time compiler, providing excellent and robust performance for AMCC PowerPC platforms at a competitive price. The JVM can be tailored to fit customer requirements such as footprint, performance envelope and application requirements. The binary translation platform provides for a low-risk migration path to new hardware architectures, decoupling applications from the underlying hardware. These binary translation products, running on AMCC PowerPC processors, offer a quick and feasible transition from legacy hardware to highly-integrated, state-of-the-art SoC solutions. Furthermore, Theobroma Systems undertakes custom software or firmware engineering projects, and, together with hardware design partners, delivers turnkey engineering services.
