The Pemaquid-LW S19263 is a highly integrated XAUI to XFI physical layer IC for Ethernet and Fibre Channel LAN and WAN applications based on SFP+ or XFP optical modules.

The S19263 device supports XFP modules and single-mode fiber SFP+ modules and is forward compatible with the Pemaquid 10G framer/mapper/PHY device with built-in G.709 GFEC and EFEC.

Fully compliant to IEEE802.3-2005 and XFP4.5 standards ensuring interoperability.

  • On-chip fractional clock management unit - only one referenced clock required to generate LAN/WAN line rates
  • LAN PHY: 10GbE LAN pass-through mode to yield a 10.3 Gbps signal
  • FCLAN PHY: 10G Fibre Channel LAN pass-through mode to yield a 10.51875 Gbps signal
  • WAN PHY: 10GbE into a WIS frame to yield a 9.954 Gbps signal
  • WIS-TOH overhead drop/insert support
