AppliedMicro offers highly integrated PHYs for all 10 Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel LAN, WAN, and SAN optical modules including XENPAK, XPAK, X2, XFP, and SFP+. Sophisticated electronic dispersion compensation (EDC) circuitry is used to enable 10GBASE-LRM and SFP+ Twinax applications. Low power dissipation and a small footprint enable high density 10 Gbps system cards while reducing cooling expenses.

PHYs from AppliedMicro support all 10 Gbps copper applications. For shorter and intra-rack links customers can design in PHYs for SFP+ Twinax copper cable. 10GBASE-T PHYs are available for applications requiring up to 100m link length. The 10GBASE-T PHYs use integrated leading-edge electromagnetic interference (EMI) cancellation technology to ensure robust link in presence of EMI from walkie-talkies and other wireless sources.
