SoftSilicon® Switches
AppliedMicro's TPX series of Packet Transport switches combines packet processing and advanced traffic management functionality. The TPX devices support Ethernet and MPLS data protocols with full-duplex, non-blocking switching capacity up to 80 Gbps. The hardware-based OAM implementation provides SDH/SONET style OAM and 50 msec protection for thousands of flows. Due to the unique design of the SoftSilicon® devices, the switching capacity is maintained irrespective of the number and combinations of look-ups placed on the chip. The TPX products include high-level driver API software for ease of integration into application software.
